Capital P&O Logistics (CPOL) was established in 2008 as part of a joint venture and growth strategy between Tasports’ Capital Stevedoring and P&O Auto and General Stevedoring (POAGS), to provide general and bulk logistic services to customers.

CPOL has extensive local industry knowledge including expertise in bulk and general stevedoring, international links and strategic expertise in stevedoring.

Permanent and casual CPOL workforce are qualified and experienced in using specialist handling and lifting gear to ensure safe and damage free movement of cargo.

Tasports is a registered, private company fully owned by the Tasmanian Government. Amongst other things Tasports is responsible for the operations and management of all sea ports in Tasmania. Tasports’ purpose is to facilitate trade for the benefit of Tasmania, through the commercial provision of infrastructure and services.

POAGS is the pre-eminent supplier of stevedoring logistics and port management services in the Australian region as well as internationally through its association with its partner DP World. POAGS, until 2006 operated as P&O Ports Limited, now offers over 150 years of Australian stevedoring expertise, which extends to port development, management and cargo handling services.
